The type of tulip garden

There are about a hundred species are often planted tulips in the garden. When viewed from the leaves of the crown, there are tulips have petals that are not open during flowering (even as a contract) during flowering petals open, the petals curved edges, and edges are sharp petals. When viewed from the time of flowering, tulips classified as:

The tulips are blooming earlier

    * Individual Early (crown layer of leaves, early flowering)

    Interest only have six petals. Flowering in early April. This species is the son of 'Duke Van Thol' type. Plants tend to be short, about 20-30 cm plant height. Example: "Apricot Beauty" and "Christmas Dream".

Tulip to bloom a little slow

    * Triumph

    * Individual late (one layer of petals, bloom later)

    All cultivars of this species has a long and strong stem. This species is a collection of types as "better", "Darwin" and "House", each of which has been lost due to the typical hybridization results. Plant height of about 37-76 cm. Flowering in late April. 'Ile-de-France' is a cultivar of this species are flowering faster compared to the early flowering type. Example: 'Pink Diamond' (pink) and "Queen of the Night '(dark purple).

    * Double late (layered petals, flowers later)

    This species has a tulip flower Peony designation because it has flowers as peony flowers. Large flowers with petals in layers. This species should be planted in a spot protected by interest rates that are large can not withstand heavy rains and strong winds. Plant height of about 30-41 cm. Flowering in late April. This species has only a few cultivars such as' Angelique '(pink and white), "Mount Tacoma' (white)," Ice Cream "(bottom of the pink top, white).

    This species is descended from Darwin, that changes color is caused by several viruses. At first people did not know that the colors are fantastic reasons as the brush strokes are caused by viruses, so this kind of outrageous prices Tulip trade in the 17th century until the 18th century. Original Rembrandt tulips are no longer sick and is replaced free of disease type Rembrandt. Flowering in late April. Cultivars that something like: "Bizarre" and "Ice Follies.

    * Parrot

    This species is known from the leaves of the feathers of the crown-like. Parrot type up to 99% represents a change in the rates of other Tulip. It says there are theories that say that the crown of leaves, like a crown of leaves is due to the separation is not perfect. The types that exist today have a strong trunk, while the species that exist in ancient times have weak stems. The color can vary, but in the center of the crown of leaves are green spots. This species is very vulnerable to bad weather and should be planted in a protected location. Plant height of about 31-41 cm. Flowering in late April. Example: "Flaming Parrot" (yellow and red stripes), 'Estella Rijnveld "(a mixture of red and white) and' Blue Parrot '(violet blue).

The seeding

Tulip can not live in the tropical open, as it requires low temperatures in winter to grow. Tulips can be forced to bloom earlier than usual when brought into a place where the temperature is set to be higher.

Tulips can be planted in two ways: by tubers or seeds. Tulips grow from tubers took a year to be able to generate enough interest, while the plants are grown from seed take between 5-7 years to bloom.

The flowers have finished blooming should be cut to get the bulbs.

According to research findings that apply only to the interests of the tulip, if at the bottom of the flower does not bloom until transparent buds pricked with a needle (eg sewing needles), the ethylene gas produced by the flowers are so injured and the flowers open. Equal treatment when it is flowering because flowers and blooming became shorter period.

Tulips at first grow wild in Central Asia and West Asia. Turkish Ottoman Empire emphasized the beauty and perfection of tulips and tulip flowers began to grow since 1000. Tulip motives have been widely used in ornamental art, Persian and Turkish. The name given to Europeans tulips originated in Persia by the turban (in Persian: دلبنت, dulband) due to the tulip-shaped, not when all its glory like a turban.

The types of tulips that have been known since ancient times have stripes, "strokes" or "buds" or have other colors in certain parts of the petals, while the newer types have a different color pattern on the petals. The touch of another color on the base color of tulips caused changes in pigmentation in the top and bottom of the flower.

Mosaic virus infection produced an insect pest species causes a rare type of tulip with beautiful grounds, such as strokes that were persecuted during the flower of the Dutch tulip mania fever. Tulip mosaic virus causes the plant to suffer and die slowly, despite the interest generated to be very nice. Currently mosaic virus can be said to have almost disappeared from the fields of tulips.
